Formerly a lover of the colder temperatures of the Arctic, Brendan has somehow found his life's work in the tropics. Through his Asian tree-ring record spanning more than 700 years, he is able to study past climate variability and the societal reactions to these changes. As our planet begins to warm and the climate becomes more volatile understanding the past is critical for understanding the future.
